Located in Divide, Colorado (near Colorado Springs), we’ve been in business since 1984. We’re licensed, insured, and have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
With a dream and a vision, Steve Copp founded Advantage Log Homes in 1984, while working as a police officer in Colorado Springs. Steve’s two daughters Kenda and Sandy helped their dad by picking up nails and trash when they were young.
Several years later, Sandy now manages the office and is also a real estate agent.
Steve married Monica in September 2003. Monica believed in Steve’s vision and invested in the company. Monica’s two young daughters Ashley and Carly took over the trash and nail jobs.
Over the last 37 years, the company has grown into the current business model you see today, including single family homes, commercial construction, modular home sales, real estate, and excavation.
Dennis and Keyla Johnstone are part owners of Above Treeline Construction. Married for 27 years with 2 beautiful daughters- they love Colorado and enjoy camping, off-roading, and ATV riding! Dennis has been in the residential construction industry for over 35 years.
Dennis has been involved in over 500 projects in Teller County and surrounding counties with many happy and satisfied customers.
Dennis started working in construction in the summers as a teenager with his dad, who is also a general contractor and is experienced as a master carpenter. He has built every type of home, from all types of log, to timber frame, and conventional stick frame.
